The United Way of Washington County welcomes nonprofits who are interested in submitting Community Impact Fund Preliminary Applications for consideration of funding for programs located in our 38-zip code area for the grant funding period of the multi-year (FY2024-2026) to attend an informative MANDATORY Meeting. The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the PONY Baseball and Softball Conference Room, 1951 Pony Place, Washington, PA – next to the Washington Wild Things Ball Park. Two time slots have been scheduled at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm. If a nonprofit is interested in submitting a Community Impact Fund Preliminary Application, a nonprofit representative is required to attend one of the meetings.
This informative Mandatory Meeting will outline the process on how to submit a Community Impact Fund Preliminary Application, explain the requirements, and inform nonprofits of other NEW details of the process. Based on community needs, the United Way of Washington County’s Community Impact funding priorities will continue to focus on the general areas of health, financial stability, and education along with more specific focus areas of Food Insecurity, Veterans Needs and Supplemental Needs. Nonprofits will be able to submit their Preliminary Applications from October 9 through November 15, 2023. In December 2023, those nonprofits who have been approved to continue the process will be notified and invited to submit formal Community Impact Fund Grant Applications for funding of the multi-year period beginning July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026 with the submission deadline date of February 9, 2024.
PLEASE NOTE: If this Preliminary Application is approved and permission is given to continue the process to submit a formal Community Impact Fund Grant Request, you must be able to provide the following documents: Program Budget, Operating Budget, Audited Financials, Form 990, nonexpired BCO Letter (Pennsylvania Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations), Board of Directors’ List, and IRS Tax Determination Letter (within the past 3 years).
