Responsible for providing care and support of the children in the program while mothers participate in treatment, classes, training, and employment. Develop individualized strategies to meet the needs of children and provide developmentally appropriate activities. Maintaining a clean and organized space and a structured schedule. Organize and provide orientation to the volunteers in the child care center. Organize and prepare for special events for children and provide lesson plans/ activities for evening and weekend childcare volunteers. Collaborate effectively with an integrated Program team to provide support as needed. This position is highly interactive with the resident population though out the shift and is continually monitoring the safety and security of the assigned house.

We are looking for someone with skills in clinical assessment, counseling, crisis management, and psychoeducation with a systems perspective. Summary:

The Community Residential Rehabilitation Services Program (CRRS) can house up to eight individuals. The Caseworker reports to the MH Assistant Director and is responsible for the health and safety of these individuals receiving services through Arc Human Services. The caseworker works not only with residents but helps them build their support system outside of ARC. This includes to adhering to all Federal, State and Local regulations, while promoting self-care and mental health recovery strategies in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree that reflects experience in Social Work, Education, or other related field or 60 college credits within the field of social work or health sciences related field. 5+ years’ experience in Mental Health/ Drug and Alcohol recovery/rehabilitation The Caseworker is responsible for completing a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours of professional training related to the job description in each training year.

• Valid PA Driver’s License with 3 year clean driving record

• Ability to pass background checks, physical, TB and drug screening (ALL company paid!)

A SH Caseworker works primarily in the field and helps individuals set goals for themselves, maintain medication management as well as doctor's appointments, groceries, etc. Our ultimate goal is to help our individuals be productive citizens within their communities.
