United Way of Washington County holds LIVE UNITED Day of Service

The United Way of Washington County held it’s LIVE UNITED Day of Service on Friday, September 16, 2022.  Appreciation is extended to the support of our Lend a Hand Presenting Sponsor, EQT, our Pitch In Sponsor, UGI Energy Services and to our Media Sponsors, Lamar Advertising and the Observer-Reporter.

On that day, employees of our Workplace Giving Campaign Partners and several other community members were paired up with local nonprofit community partners to be united for a day of volunteer service. Over 40 volunteers participated in this year’s event, giving about 200 hours of time to make an impact in our community. Nonprofit hosts included ARC Human Services, Washington City Mission, Domestic Violence Services of SWPA, Food Helpers and Pathways of SWPA. Volunteer groups included Caterpillar, EQT, Rotary Club of Washington, Traditions of America of Southpointe residents, UGI Energy Services, Washington County Democratic Committee, and Washington & Jefferson College.

Ann Hrabik, Executive Director of the United Way of Washington County, expressed, “We are grateful for these volunteers who willingly gave their time and talent on LIVE UNITED Day of Service to make a difference in our community.
