The United Way of Washington County is honored to announce that it is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Staunton Farm Foundation. This grant has allowed the local United Way to improve communications to better serve the residents of Washington County.
The grant has allowed an upgrade to both its computer system, telephone system, and a new website to launch in early summer. All these upgrades will expand the United Way of Washington County’s capacity of its communications tools. These communication improvements will help to raise awareness of the availability in Washington County of the United Way’s resource helpline, PA 2-1-1 Southwest, to improve the Community Impact Fund Grant Funding process and set up a method of an exchange of resources (volunteering and in-kind donations) available between our community’s nonprofits and corporations.
